Personally, I found this game to be a bit challenging, so I figured I'd give you people some helpful tips to make it a bit easier. Also, I'm extraordinarily bored, so... anyway. Some of the things I'll mention might seem like common sense, but I'm not trying to be insulting or condescending in any way.
1) Make two healers. Trust me, you'll need them both. I like to equip one with a red weapon and one with a blue so I don't sacrifice too much melee damage.
2) Know which enemies to kill first. Always target the enemies that can hit everyone (phoenix, samurai, etc.) or cause horrible status effects (lurker-type enemies can blind your whole party).
3) Know what you're getting into before you fight. If you see two phoenixes in one room, my suggestion is to just run away. They don't aggro (although they move very quickly) so you can run past them. Their Flame Wall attack is devastating, and if they both cast it in the same round, it will likely kill your whole party.
4) ALWAYS UPGRADE YOUR ITEMS. I can't stress this enough. Money is extremely plentiful, and upgrades are relatively cheap. Always keep everyone's items as upgraded as you can.
5) Enemies are always the same level as the level of the dungeon, so keep that in mind. If you're level 15 and moving onto dungeon level 16, the enemies will all be a higher level than you. Since enemies generally do decent damage, it's never a good idea to fight anything higher than your level.
6) If you find yourself needing cash or items, you can simply clear two rooms and move back and forth between them. There is a chance for a chest to spawn when you enter a room, so if you simply move back and forth between two cleared rooms, you can harvest chests and get the gold/loot inside as many times as you have the patience for.
7) Don't sell your RS items. Some of them are extremely helpful; I found the Crab Claw to be the most helpful RS in my inventory.
8) If you see one of the rare monsters, be prepared for a tough fight. In my experience, Bunch is the hardest, followed by Bahumot, followed by Fury. Bunch is the hardest because he has a strong attack that hits everyone (and he uses it frequently), Bahumot is second as he also has a party-murdering attack (but he rarely uses it), and Fury is a pushover. Know that they have a large amount of HP, so heal up before you fight them.
9) Buy a ton of ethers. Your characters don't have a large amount of MP, so you'll need to refill it frequently (especially the healers).
10) Play the Zombie Defense game as many times as you can stand to get items. You can get some pretty decent stuff on higher difficulty levels.
11) Feed your slime as often as you can.
12) Don't forget to sell all your useless weapons and armour. They are a huge source of cash, and you do have limited bag space.
13) Grind your tits off. Enemies don't respawn until you leave the floor of the dungeon, so clear the level of all enemies you want to fight, leave (by either set of stairs or by going to town) and go back to have another set of enemies to kill. I like to stay at least a level or two higher than the enemies I'm fighting.
14) Attack Up All is easily the most overpowered skill in the game. Use it as often as you can.
15) Keep in mind that bosses have two "stages"; all status effects are cleared when you reduce their HP to 0 the first time. Keeping this in mind, I find it's best to give your party beneficial effects instead of casting detrimental effects on the boss; the positive effects stay when the boss changes form.
I'm sure there are more suggestions I can add, but I can't think of any at the moment. If you have suggestions you'd like me to put on the list, feel free to tell me via comment or PM.
